In our on-going quest for perfection, Mpower now bring you another unique facility after the highly successful panic button-A GPS based tracking of the vehicle in which the panic button has been pressed!

Though the panic button solution has served as an effective deterrent to driver misbehavior by providing extra security and alarms at the Call Centre Control room, there were no clues available on the immediate 'whereabouts' of the car in which the panic button had been pressed.

With Mpower's one of its kind GPS integration with the Walky Talky, BPO customers can now track the car in which a panic alert has been sounded ! Almost every single minute of its journey after the panic button has been pressed & the Control room has received its warning! And this will continue for as long as the panic event lasts or the default time limit if set. All the location updates shall also get recorded in the database of the fleet vigil server.

How does the Emergency Tracking application work?

A dedicated server set up has been established at the Arya Omnitalk Control Room where a bank of base station radios are connected, especially for handling the panic condition tracking. All these radios are connected with a multiplexer to the server and a dedicated tracking application is kept live on the server.

As soon as a panic message is detected from any specific radio ID, the application starts polling the radio at every minute. This duration may change based on the busy status of the radio under panic and hence there may be some variation in this duration. The base server receives the GPS position data and converts the same into a specific packet, which can be pumped on the TCP/IP. This data is uploaded to the www.fleetvigil.com server, where it is displayed on the map as well as stored in database.
